Vinod Lele

Trained in the Banaras gharana of tabla playing, Vinod Lele studied under Kashinath Khandekar. He is a gold medalist and has a Sangeet Praveen degree from the Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad. He won the first prize in the Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Akademi competition held in 1982. In 1983, he won the first prize in the All India Radio music competition. He is a grade ‘A’ artiste of the All India Radio and Doordarshan. He has travelled widely and has accompanied several leading performers.
